WHICH ROPE COMPANY MAKES THE BEST TEAM ROPING ROPE?

With all of the rope companies out there today, which ropes are best, and what do you like to use to team rope? Some of the rope companies are Cactus, Fastback, Rattler, Classic, Ropervision, Callaway, Sutton, Revolution, Running P, and Willard ropes, just to name the ones I know. There may be others that I don’t know. If you know of some others that I didn’t mention, let me know.
The two newest inventions to ropes, that I know of, deal with Ropervision and Revolution Rope Companies. The Ropervision Company introduced the Wax Free Rope. This rope is supposed to last longer, always feel the same, even in different weather conditions, and to not slide on the dally. I have tried these and they seem to do all they say. The Revolution Rope Company came out with the tip accelerator rope. It was designed so the roper could feel the tip better. I hear that you send them your loop size, and they put extra weight in the tip, for your size of loop. That way, your tip always has the most weight. Now, I haven’t tried these ropes, and am very anxious for someone, who has used them, to get in touch with me to let me know how they like them.
In any case, I would like for you to let me know what ropes you like best.

WHAT IS YOUR HEADING TARGET?

In team roping, when you are heading steers, what is your target? Some headers look at the right horn. Others look at the left horn. Some look in between the horns, while others look at the whole head. This is one question that you can ask many different headers, and get many different answers. So, which one is right? All of them. Some of them. None of them. I heard, once upon a time, to visualize the head as a 55 gallon drum barrel. Made sense to me, so this is what I do. What do you watch? Let us all know. Maybe, we should take some kind of poll, or survey?

Best Team Roping Instructor? Best Team Roping School?

Who is the best team roping instructor out there? What about their roping schools, or videos? A few to choose from, off the top of my head, are Walt Woodard, Allen Bach, Rickey Green, Clay O’Brien Cooper, Jake Barnes, Speedy Williams, Rich Skelton, Bret Tonozzi, Jay Ellerman, Britt Bockius, or Tyler Magnus. Maybe, you can think of others I haven’t listed. Let me know what you think, and why, if you want. Remember, this site is about opinions, none will be turned away. In the process, it might help someone to pick a good roping school for them to attend.

New Rodeo and Team Roping Links

I have added a few links to the site from the rodeo and team roping world. I will be adding others in the near future. If you have any other site suggestions that you would like to see on this site, let me know.

TEAM ROPERS!!!!!!!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN OPINION, DON'T VISIT HERE!!!!

We will discuss anything on this site: team roping, rodeo schedules, rodeo results, roping schedules, roping results, rodeo associations, PRCA, USTRC, team roping schools, team roping instructors, tack, ropes, scoring, trucks, trailers, roping dummies, gas prices, additives, greenhouse effects, or anything else that you want to discuss.

IN OTHER WORDS:
If you can think of IT, we will talk about IT!!!

I wanted to create a blog that team ropers could come to and vent about things that were on their minds. They could come here and get good information about there passion. We will try to keep up with standings and schedules from the rodeo and roping world. We also want to give you information on roping schools and their instructors.
However, we would also like to discuss other things that we run into, like gas prices, and what we can do to help ourselves. Things like this factor directly into our sport, as we have to put gas, or diesel, into our trucks and horse trailers, to do what we love. At $3.50 a gallon you just can’t travel as far from home, as you used to be able to.
